This Center is an out-patient facility for the treatment of cancer, which combines diagnosis, treatment, and counseling in one setting. It is a part of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

A clear functional strategy makes sense out of a difficult site and the complex components of the program. It has a hierarchy of spaces that are centered on two large spaces, both tall atrium, one for waiting and one for treatment.

 

This is intended to orient the patients and staff moving and with the intercept of natural light throughout the day to trigger an alternative imagination of the patient lying still.
